Termites
+Due to their wood-eating habits, many termite species can do great damage to unprotected buildings and other wooden structures. Their habit of remaining concealed often results in their presence being undetected until the timbers are severely damaged. Abatement consists of introducing hormone or poison treatment into the termite tunnels. Soil toxins are no longer preferred due to the high concentrations of chemicals introduced into the environment. This is a job for a highly skilled professional. How do you know if you have termites?
When termites consume our Termidor termite control product, they become carriers of the product to every other termite they contact. This speeds the control of the termite population by indirectly transferring the agent to as many termites as possible as quickly as possible. Termidor outperforms every other termite control product, providing effective long-lasting control. Envirotreat is a BASF/Termidor partner, certified in the application of Termidor pest control products

Carpenter Bees
+There are over 500 species of Carpenter Bees, whose name is derived from the fact that they build their nests in burrows made in dead wood. Carpenter bees do not eat the wood as they make their perfectly round holes into the wood for their nests. In general, the structural damage is minimal since the holes are small.
-
Cockroach
+Roaches are pretty indestructible - they can go live off of the nutrition on the back of a postage stamp and go without air for 45 minutes. They eat pretty much anything that resembles food, and they give off an offensive odor. Deterrent measures include keeping all sources of food tightly sealed, including waste cans, and keeping all food preparation areas clean. Professional bait stations are effective in eliminating established infestations.
-
Ants
+There are many species of ants, most are not considered to be a nuisance. Ants classified as pests include the pavement ant, yellow crazy ant, sugar ants, the Pharaoh ant, carpenter ants, Argentine ant, odorous house ants, red imported fire ant and European fire ant. Abatement services include baiting the ants in order to poison the colony and in some cases the physical destruction of the hive.
The same technology that makes Termidor so successful in controlling termites also makes it a superior solution for controlling ants. Most ant species can be controlled with a single foundation application of Termidor

Bed Bugs
+Bed bugs are well adapted to the human environment, feeding from the human host periodically. A bed bug can feed as infrequently as every 9-12 months, so low infestation rates may be difficult to detect except by occasional bite marks - a red bump and itching. Steam can be used to kill adults and eggs, but is not a permanent solution. The gel-based bait used for most other pests, such as roaches, is not effective.
-
Mice
+Mice may breed quickly, but their average life span in the wild is about 4 months before being hunted down by natural predators. The major threat mice place to humans is the annoyance factor and the potential to spread disease through ticks and feces. The first line of defense against mice is to prevent their entry into the home by closing all holes in the foundation, then trapping as required. Generally once the entryway into the home is closed up, the mice stay outside where they belong.
-
Spiders
+Spider infestations are generally the result of the abundance of other available insects for the spiders to eat. Spiders like to eat insects, and if there are lots of insects around, spiders will be around to eat them. Abatement services for spider infestations generally start with eliminating the source of food for the spiders in the first place.
-
Silver Fish
+Silver fish consume starch, so tend to feed on the adhesives in book bindings, paper and other cellulose materials. They can cause damage to books and textile products.
-
Rats
+Rats are rather large mammals, generally less than a pound, that scavenge food in urban environments. The average life span of a wild rat can be about 3 years. Rats are fairly opportunistic in terms of diet. The best course of treatment for rats is similar to mice - close the path of entrance, ensure there is no continued source of food, trap as required.

Could you have Bed Bugs?
+Bed Bugs are a biting parasite that primarily feed at night. Bed bugs are oval in shape and the color of these insects ranges from light brown to red in color. The size of an adult Bed Bug is about the size of an apple seed, the size does vary with each molting stage during their life cycle, they call be as small as a pin head and travel through bedding quite easily. Bed Bugs molt and leave empty exoskeletons in your home and bedding.
-
How can Bed Bugs be Treated?
+Over the counter insecticides are essentially useless against Bed Bugs. Even traditional professional treatments are in some cases showing some types of resistance. Bed Bugs have high tolerance to temperature extremes and can survive as long as a year without feeding. High concentrations of Carbon Dioxide are fatal, as well as sustained temperatures above 130°F. Envirotreat's treatment policy is second to none. Envirotreat focuses on what you can't see; our 10 point checklist ensures elimination of any and all Bed Bugs.
-
Bedding Encasement
+A major component of the Bed Bug treatment program is bedding encasement. Bedding encasement is the complete enclosure of both the mattress and box spring in special enclosures that are impervious to Bed Bugs. The fabric from which the enclosure cover is made is so fine that even the smallest Bed Bugs can not feed through it. Additionally, the zipper must be fine enough that Bed Bugs can not penetrate the zipper at any point. Encasements can be used either before you have an infestation to protect your bedding, or after you actually have an infestation, to enclose the bugs and remove one potential source of re-infestation. Envirotreat offers top quality mattress and box spring covers that will not let the Bed Bugs reach you. We will not treat any mattress that does not have a Bed cover.

Stink Bugs can be a Nuisance
+Stink Bugs are found in rural and suburban areas, are brown in color, are about the size of a dime, and have a shield-shaped body. Stink bugs are a nuisance pest that are cubsee fliers, that seek warmer places to hibernate. These insects often are attracted to light that shines off of windows or bright surface areas that attract them due to the heat the sun provides. Stink Bugs have scent glands located behind in their abdomen and thorax that smell when you kill them.
-
Stink Bug Treatment
+It is critical that the exterior is treated before stink bugs can gain a structural advantage by breeding inside the walls of your home. Envirotreat can fill and repair small openings in which these insects gain enterance to your home. We can reduce the number of stink bugs by about 90% if caught early . In most cases a second follow-up is necessary. Timely Pest Control Messures and a structural inspection reduce the Stink Bug sightings in your home within days.
